Details

This Polish-French album contains texts and paintings, mostly sketches, that evoke life in the ghetto, deportation and imprisonment in concentration camps, the Death March, and liberation. The author, a former Auschwitz prisoner, has managed in both painting and literature to approach the most tragic moral and physical suffering in an extraordinarily subtle way.

The album concludes with a biography of the artist, a chronology of her one-woman shows, and reviews by art critics.
